Advocacy

My primary goal is promoting the amateur radio hobby and keeping it robust and relevant for the future.  This site is a part of that effort.

Product Testing and Evaluation

I provide product testing and evaluation services.  I can do this on a "non disclosure" basis to help support product development and refinement, or public to help provide exposure to the new features and benefits of products.

Training and Licensing

I'm an ARRL certified Volunteer Examiner so I can assist in the testing and licensing of new members of the ham community.  I help with training and orientation of radio use with my Community Emergency Response Team (CERT).

ARRL Support

ARRL is the national association for Amateur Radio, and helping them as a ARRL Volunteer Examiner is just one way to help keep the hobby growing!

Being a member of ARRL is near mandatory to help support the hobby.

Emergency Management Support

An important aspect of amateur radio that I support is emergency management support.  I spent years working of computer systems for the Federal Emergency Management Association (FEMA), and am well aware how quickly the normal infrastructure we rely on day to day can be gone.
